My UNAA Vision
What Does UNAA Need?
Flex Kabuye – Kayanja
I do not profess to know everything; however, the fact is that our organization UNAA seems to only organize for Conventions such as the one in Chicago this September 2009. This is not what the most powerful institution of Ugandans outside Uganda should be like.
Power Brokers: We should be doing business with corporations such as Kinko’s, Office Depot, Money Gram, Western Union, Coca Cola, Pepsi, Budweiser – to name a few. They should come to us FIRST if they want to expand their businesses to our country. Once we are their official brokers, we shall not need to struggle to sell space to vendors each year at our Conventions.
Corporate Social Responsibility: As an organization, we should, single handedly, be able to provide assistance to Ugandans in the Diaspora – from legal fees to immigration advice; support orphans in Uganda; return the remains of our dearly departed members to Uganda and in the process, encourage people to get life insurance and especially help people with employment or to establish their own businesses.
These two elements are what make organizations such as our successful, powerful and especially, beneficial to the members.
Is this not the kind of result you’d expect from a UNAA President?
